„U suštini, mi letimo u sve
značajne evropske gradove, a
imamo i mediteranske destinacije.
Najudaljeniji grad do kog letimo je
Abu Dabi, gde se povezujemo na
mrežu Etihada.“
„S Jat ervejzom smo imali 23-
24 destinacije, a sada letimo ka
četrdeset.“
Posle restrukturiranja kompa-
nije, Kondić kaže da avio-kompa-
nija radi na održivoj profitabilnosti
i konsolidovanju mreže destinacija.
Primetio je da nije bilo lako udvo-
stručiti kapacitete aviokompanije
u zemlji gde prosečna plata nije
visoka. „Svi naši ljudi su do sada
obavili neverovatan posao, ali
moramo da budemo i vredniji i brži
da bismo bili još bolji“, rekao je,
dodajući da će nastaviti da razvija
partnerstva, suštinski kroz Etiha-
dovu mrežu.
„Alitalija će biti zanimljiv budu-
ći partner kada stane na noge, a tu
je i Erberlin.“

We’re basically flying to all of
the European cities that you could
fly to and then we have some
Mediterranean destinations. The
furthest city that we fly to is Abu
Dhabi where we connect up with
the Etihad network.
“So we had probably 23-24
destinations in total with JAT and
now we’re flying to 40.’’
With the changes now in place,
Kondic says the airline is working
towards sustained profitability and
consolidating its network. He noted
that doubling the airline’s capacity
had not been easy in a country
where the average salary is not
high. “Everybody’s done an amazing
job up until this point but we’ve got
to run harder, faster to get fitter,”
he said, adding it would continue to
grow partnerships, fundamentally
through the Etihad network.
“Alitalia will be an interest-
ing future partner once they bed
down; airberlin is another one.”

nastavljajući da gradi Beograd
kao čvorište kako bi se stvorila
kritična masa neophodna za du-
golinijske letove. Već su objavljeni
planovi da se leti preko Atlantika.
Kondić se nada da će tu ambiciju
sprovesti u narednih 12 do 14
meseci.
„U težnji da Beograd i Srbija
ponovo postanu prepoznatljivo
mesto u svetu, prirodna je am-
bicija jedne zemlje da želi da
vrati na tržišta i mesta do kojih se
nekad letelo.“ Kondić međutim,
naglašava da se industrija
vazdušnog prevoza promenila i
kaže da Er Srbija nema aspiracija
da leti „širom sveta kao JAT ervejz
nekada“.

Long-haul
across the
Atlantic
The airline will also look
at other parts of the world,
continuing to build Belgrade as a
hub to achieve the critical mass
necessary for long-haul flying. It
has already revealed plans to fly
across the Atlantic, and Kondic
said he hoped he could realise
that ambition in the next 12 to 14
months.
“In terms of Belgrade and
Serbia re-emerging in the world,
it’s a natural ambition for the
country to want to reconnect to
many of the markets and places
that they used to fly.”
But Kondic acknowledged the
industry had changed and said Air
Serbia had no aspirations to fly
“all over the world the way JAT
Airways used to’’.
