Ruske sankcije na uvoz prehrambenih
proizvoda iz Evropske unije naterale su mo-
skovske restoratere da se okrenu sastojcima
proizvedenim u Rusiji, i da prilagode menije
povratkom na neke od zaboravljenih lokal-
nih recepata. Novootvoreni restoran pro-
vincijskog imena Voronjež, ali visoke klase,
služi isključivo meso proizvedeno u Rusiji, a
na meniju su i različite poslastice iz brojnih
ruskih mora i reka, kao što su morski ježevi
iz Barencovog mora (na slici). Na trpeze su
počeli da stižu i brojni ekološki proizvodi iz
malih udaljenih sela, retke vrste gljiva, klju-
kane guske iz Baškortostana...

Blossoming of
Russian cuisine
Russian sanctions on imports of food-
stuffs from the European Union have
forced Muscovite restaurateurs to turn to
ingredients produced in Russia, and to
adjust menus to return some forgotten lo-
cal recipes. The newly opened restaurant
with the provincial name Voronezh, but
representing a high-class eatery, serves
only meat produced in Russia, while the
menu also includes various treats from
a number of Russian seas and rivers,
such as sea urchins from the Barents Sea
(pictured). Tables have also begun to
be stocked with many organic products
from small remote villages, rare species
of mushrooms, force-fed geese from
Bashkortostan etc.

Aristotelov grob
Grčki arheolozi su povodom 2400.
godišnjice rođenja Aristotela, tvor-
ca savremene logike, objavili na
međunarodnoj konferenciji da su
pronašli njegov grob u selu udalje-
nom oko 40 kilometara od Soluna,
najvećeg grada na severu Grčke.
Ako je otkriće autentično, ono
je od velikog značaja, zato što je
Aristotel (na slici mermerna skulp-
tura iz rimskog perioda) bio jedan
od najvećih mislilaca antičkog
vremena. Bio je učitelj Aleksandra
Velikog.

On the occasion of the 2,400
th
an-
niversary of the birth of Aristotle,
creator of contemporary logic,
Greek archaeologists announced
at an international conference
that they have found his grave
in a village about 40 kilometres
from Thessaloniki, the largest city
in northern Greece. Provided the
discovery proves to be authentic,
it will be of great significance, as
Aristotle (pictured in this marble
sculpture from the Roman period)
was one of the greatest thinkers of
ancient times. He was the teacher
of Alexander the Great.

Proslavljanje Maljeviča
Sto godina nakon što je ruski slikar Kazimir
Maljevič šokirao umetnički svet svojom prvom
izložbom suprematističkih radova, muzeji širom
Evrope brojnim izložbama proslavljaju njegovu
ostavštinu i uticaj na razvoj savremene umet-
nosti. U bečkom muzeju Albertina do 26. juna
je otvorena izložba pod nazivom „Od Šagala
do Maljeviča“ na kojoj je prikazano 130 dela
ruske avangarde, uključujući i Maljevičevog
„Avijatičara“, rad iz 1914. (na slici).

A hundred years after Russian painter Kazimir
Malevich shocked the art world with his first
exhibition of suprematism works, museums
across Europe are staging numerous exhibi-
tions to celebrate his legacy and influence
on the development of contemporary art. In
Vienna’s Albertina Museum until 26
th
June
an exhibition is running under the title “From
Chagall to Malevich” and featuring around 130
works of Russian avant-garde, including Malev-
ich’s “The Aviator”, a work from 1914 (pictured).
