Početna
energija
Potrebno je mnogo početne energije
da se stvari pokrenu iz mesta, što na
simboličan način prikazuje i ova foto-
grafija. Taj prvi korak je i najrizičniji,
jer je neizvesnost uspeha, ili neuspeha,
podjednaka. U pojedinim oblastima
neuspeh je izvesniji od uspeha.
Pokrenuti novi poduhvat, mali bi-
znis ili novu inicijativu u okviru velikog
sistema uvek je bilo teško. Najnovija
istraživanja tvrde da oko 75 odsto
započetih novih poslova propadne. Ipak,
društvo može da napreduje samo ako
pokreće nove inicijative, ako se bavi no-
vim projektima i ako podstiče mlade da
dostižu nove horizonte. Zato je važno da
stvaramo ambijent u kome će nove ideje
moći da se ostvaruju. To je jednostav-
nije nego što se čini. U pitanju je samo
ugao gledanja: ako plamen na točku
motocikla tumačite kao snažan podstrek
za pokret, ima nade. Ako to vidite kao
trenutak pre potpune propasti, moraćete
da menjate perspektivu.

Start-up energy
It takes a lot of initial energy to get
things moving from a standstill, which is
shown in a symbolic way by this image.
That first step is also the riskiest, because
the uncertainty of success or failure is
equal. In some areas, failure seems more
certain than success.
Launching a new venture, a small
business, or a new initiative within a
large system, has always been difficult.
The latest research suggests that about
75 per cent of start-up businesses fail.
However, a society can only prosper if
it launches new initiatives, if it takes on
new projects and encourages the young
to reach for new horizons. That’s why it’s
important for us to create an environ-
ment in which new ideas can be realised.
This is easier than it seems. It’s just a
question of perspective: if you interpret
the flame on the motorcycle wheel as a
powerful impetus for propulsion, there is
hope. If you see it as the moment before
complete destruction, you will need to
change your perspective.
