tihad Airways Partners
is a new global air
transport brand. The group
was formed six months ago by
Etihad Airways, the national
airline of the United Arab
Emirates, and the airlines in
which it has an ownership
stake. Apart from Etihad, the
group includes five European
companies and one Asian and
one African company. Etihad
intends to introduce strong
mutual synergies to their
operations.
This principally means
better structural links among
the members, whose aircraft
travel to 500 destinations in
almost 90 countries. Rationali-
sation, interconnection and
joint functions will provide
travellers with completely new
quality and speed of travel
through standardisation, more
complete service and more
economical prices. This was
also stated at last month’s
major annual conference of
the member companies of
the Etihad Airways Partners
Group, which Etihad orga-
nized for the first time at one
of the most prestigious hotels
in the world: Emirates Palace
in Abu Dhabi.
The conference in-
cluded the participation
of the complete manage-
ment potential possessed
by Etihad Airways Partners
– 650 senior staff from all
companies in which Etihad
is a stakeholder.
The two-day conference,
under the title “Partnership
in Action”, saw discussion of
ways for member companies
to better cooperate in an effort
to reduce costs, enhance rev-
enues and improve the experi-
ence of guests on flights.
