Prag

Zabranjen segvej

Od početka avgusta glavni grad

Češke zabranio je turistima da u

starom jezgru grada koriste segvej,

žiroskopsku platformu na dva točka

sa električnim pogonom, zbog ogro-

mnog broja pritužbi koje su stigle

gradskim vlastima. Obilazak grada

na segveju postao je u Pragu omiljena

tura (na snimku) među 6,6 miliona

turista koji godišnje posete grad. Od

svih evropskih turističkih destinacija

segvej je najrasprostranjeniji u Pragu.

Kazna za nepoštovanje zabrane je oko

70 evra. Kompanije koje iznajmljuju

segveje pobunile su se, a navodno će

300 radnika izgubiti posao.

Prague

Segway banned

As of the beginning of August, the capital

of the Czech Republic has banned tourists

in the old part of the city from using the

Segway – a gyroscopic platform on two

wheels with an electric drive – in response

to the huge number of complaints received

by the City authorities. City tours of Prague

using the Segway (pictured) have become

a favourite among the 6.6 million tourists

who visit the city annually. The Segway

is most widespread in Prague among all

European tourist destinations. The penalty

for violating this ban is around 70 euros.

Companies that rent out the Segway have

lodged complaints, while 300 workers are

allegedly set to lose their jobs.
