Atina
Najveći
rizort u Evropi
Prostor napuštenog atinskog
aerodroma Helinikon kod
Glifade mogao bi da postane
najveći evropski turistički
kompleks sa rezidencijalnim i
hotelskim delom. Jedna grčka
kompanija planira da privuče
sedam milijardi evra investi-
cija u transformaciju nekada
najvećeg međunarodnog
aerodroma glavnog grada
Grčke kroz koji je, do zatvara-
nja 2001, prolazilo 13,5 milio-
na putnika godišnje. Projekat
podržavaju investitori iz Kine
i Abu Dabija, a izgleda da je
grčka vlada naklonjena ideji i
da bi gradnja mogla da započ-
ne već iduće godine.

Athens
The biggest resort
in Europe
The area of Athens’ aban-
doned Ellinikon Interna-
tional Airport in Glyfada
could become Europe’s
largest tourist resort, with a
residential area and hotels.
One Greek company plans
to attract seven billion
euros of investment for the
transformation of what was
once the largest interna-
tional airport in the Greek
capital, which catered for
13.5 million passengers
a year until its closure in
2001. The project is backed
by investors from China
and Abu Dhabi, and it also
appears that the Greek
Government is in favour
of the idea, with the start
of construction possible as
early as next year.
Brisel
Svet Harija Potera
U glavnom gradu Belgije posta-
vljena je izložba scenografije iz
filmova o Hariju Poteru. Na pro-
storu od 1400 kvadratnih metara
u briselskom Ekspo centru pose-
tioci mogu da dožive ambijent
Hogvarts škole za čarobnjake
(na snimku), ili da se prošetaju
kroz Zabranjenu šumu. Brisel
je drugi evropski grad, posle
Pariza, u kome gostuje izložba.
Interesovanje je toliko da je pre
otvaranja prošlog meseca prodato
100 hiljada ulaznica. Izložba osta-
je u Briselu do sredine septembra.
Štutgart
Le Korbizjeove zgrade
Dve zgrade na imanju Vajsenhof u Štutgartu
(na slici) nominovane su da budu uključene
na Uneskovu listu svetske baštine. Zgrade,
rad jednog od najvećih arhitekata 20. veka
Šarl-Eduara Žanere-Grija, mnogo poznatijeg
kao Le Korbizje, pretvorene su 2002. u mu-
zej koji godišnje poseti oko trideset hiljada,
uglavnom studenata arhitekture. Nemačka
je bez uspeha u više navrata pokušala da
zgrade uvrsti na Uneskovu listu. Ponovni
pokušaj deo je kompleksnijeg, međunarod-
nog pristupa: zgrade u Štutgartu su među
17 Korbizjeovih građevina u Nemačkoj,
Francuskoj, Argentini, Japanu, Belgiji,
Švajcarskoj i Indiji koje sve zajedno konkurišu
da se nađu na listi.

Stuttgart
Le Corbusier buildings
Two buildings on the Weissenhof Estate in
Stuttgart (pictured) have been nominated for
inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage
List. The buildings, the work of one of the
greatest architects of the 20
th
century, Charles-
Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, better known as Le
Corbusier, were converted into a museum in
2002, which is today visited by about 30 thou-
sand people annually, mostly students of archi-
tecture. Germany has made several unsuccess-
ful attempts to have these buildings included
on the UNESCO list. The latest attempt is part
of a complex international approach: the build-
ings in Stuttgart are among 17 buildings by
Le Corbusier in Germany, France, Argentina,
Japan, Belgium, Switzerland and India, which
are all jointly applying for inclusion on the list.

Brussels
The world
of Harry Potter
The Belgian capital is hosting an
exhibition of the scenography
of the Harry Potter films. On an
area of 1,400 square metres at the
Brussels Expo visitors can expe-
rience the ambience of Hogwarts
school for wizards (pictured)
or walk through the Forbidden
Forest. Brussels is the second city
in Europe, after Paris, to host this
exhibition. Interest is so high that
100 thousand tickets were sold
prior to the exhibition’s opening
last month. The exhibition will be
on display in Brussels until mid-
September.
