Međutim, knez Miloš je retko boravio u njemu. Svoju primarnu namenu Konak je ostvario tokom prve vladavine njegovog sina, kneza Mihaila Obrenovića, od 1839. do 1842. godine, kada je služiokao rezidencija. KneginjaLjubica se1830. sadecom smestilaukonak, koji je spoj evropskog i orijentalnogstila.Njegova izgradnja jeoznačilaprelomni trenutakubeogradskoj arhitekturi, jer je three-legged stools, as well as traditional specialities, transports guests back to the bygone time when Kosančićev Venac was the first urbanised part of the city. The Question Mark has always been, and still remains, a cult Belgrade venue. PRINCESS LJUBICA’S RESIDENCE Diagonally opposite the CathedralChurchstandsagemofBelgrade architecture and civil engineering fromthefirsthalfof the19th century: Princess Ljubica’s Residence, which was constructed with the sole purpose of being a representative court palaceofSerbia’s thenrulingObrenović dynasty. However, it was rare for PrinceMiloš to reside there and the Residence only realised its primary purpose when it served as a residenceduringthefirst reignofhisson, PrinceMihailoObrenović, from1839 to1842. Itwas in1830 that Princess Ljubica and her children moved to the residence, which represents a fusionof Europeanandoriental styles. Its construction marked a turning point in Belgrade architecture, with the inclusionof certainelements indicating the influence of European architecture. The residence has preservedmany items fromthepast, including itemsof furniture, paintings, portraits of the principality’s royal family, a heating stove, rugs and an oriental cloakroom, all of which enable today’s visitors to feel the spirit of olden times.
