PATRIJARŠIJA PalataPatrijaršijegrađena jedo 1935, a kada je završena, štampa je pisala da je reč o impozantnoj, velikolepnoj građevini, uprošćenogneovizantijskog stila. Na fasadi palate Patrijaršije se izdvaja masivni i svečanoobrađeni portal okrenutka Sabornoj crkvi. Iznadpolukružnog ulaza izveden je reljefni grb Patrijaršije, koji dva anđela ovenčavaju arhijerejskom mitrom. Iznad portala je mozaik na kom je Sveti JovanKrstitelj.Uzgradi su i institucijeodvelikog značaja:Muzej Srpske pravoslavne crkve i Biblioteka Patrijaršije. THE PATRIARCHIATE ThePalaceofthePatriarchatewas under construction until 1935, and upon completion was described by the press as an impressive, magnificentbuilding, inasimplifiedneo-Byzantine style. Standing out on the façade of the Palace of the Patriarchate is amassiveand formallydecoratedporticothat faces theCathedral Church opposite. Above the arched entrance is adistinct relief decorated with the coat of arms of the Patriarchate, topped by two angels with an episcopalmitre.Theniche above the portal includesamosaicrepresenting John the Baptist. The building is also home to institutions of great importance: theMuseumof the SerbianOrthodoxChurchandtheLibrary of the Patriarchate.
