Nekada su slike polja u ranu jesen bile pune
ljudi koji kose seno i žena koje ga plaste. Taj
posao je odavno prepušten mašinama. One brzo
prođu i ostave za sobom polja prekrivena valjcima
sena spakovanog za zimu. To je čest prizor dok
se vozite putevima kroz Vojvodinu, severni deo
Srbije, gde je i snimljena ova fotografija. Jedino
konjska zaprega u polju, na kojoj je skupljeno
seno preostalo posle rada mašina, podseća na
prošla vremena.

The fields of early autumn were once filled
with people cutting hay and the women who stack
it into piles. That job has long since been left to
machines. They pass over quickly and leave behind
fields covered in bales of hay, packed for the winter.
This is a common sight to see while driving along
the roads of Vojvodina, northern Serbia, were this
image was shot. The lone horse and carriage in this
field, with hay collected from the leftovers of the
machines’ work, is reminiscent of times past.
