Tok potoka završava se vodopadom sa tri kraka, čija je visina oko 20metara The course of the stream culminates in a waterfall with three branches, at a height of about 20metres Visoki lepotan Kopaonika Sa visinom kaskada od 71 metar, Jelovarnik predstavlja treći najviši vodopad u našoj zemlji. KOPAONIK’S TALL BEAUTY With cascades at a height of 71 metres, Jelovarnik represents Serbia’s third highest waterfall. Located at the foot of Mountain Kopaonik, within the scope of the National Park, it is hidden in a forest at an altitude of 1,116metres above sea level and, with its three cascades, has been declared a nature reserve. Situated in dense woodland composed of beech, spruce and mountain maple trees, its home is an area of indescribably beautiful pristine nature. A strange tranquillity reigns here, and legend has it that any girl who brings her boyfriend to this waterfall will certainly end up marrying him. Perhaps she will and perhaps she won’t, but Jelovarnik certainly won’t leave you feeling indifferent. NATURAL ARTWORK The Bigar streamflows along the western shoulder of the BalkanMountain and has carved out extraordinarymorphological formations along its entire course, culminating in a waterfall. Hidden above it, in dense vegetation, are small limestone ponds with a peculiar blue-green colour. These ponds aren’t just gems of nature in themunicipality of Knjaževac, rather the water they contain is so clean that you can freely drink it. Twelve watermills used to grind grain near these ponds, but they haven’t operated for a long time and the buildings have fallen into ruin and are now overgrown… JELOVARNIK BIGAR Waterfalls » Voodopadi | 73
