Serbia creates » Srbija stvara | 21 SE R B I A CR EAT ES StefanMilenković's international master class inČačak World renowned violinist Stefan Milenković and the Serbia Creates national platform are jointly organising an international violin master class in Čačak, Serbia, from 2nd to 17th July, that's intended for talented violin pupils and students worldwide The programme of this two-weekcampwas created by Professor Stefan Milenković himself, on the basis of his more than twenty years of pedagogical experience at some of the world‘smost prestigiousmusic colleges, includingNewYork‘s Juilliard School, but also the education that he has gained. Participants will attend daily theoretical and practical group and individual classes with ProfessorMilenković, daily physical education classes specifically developed for musicians, as well as specialised breathing techniques that are particularly relevant for public performances. “I‘m extremely excited that I will hold an intensive specialised violin course in Serbia, becausemy wish is for participants in the camp to receive thorough and comprehensive knowledge that will benefit them in all dimensions of their violin mastery and artistic development, but also that they receive healthy and practical principles that are useful for a life of self-confidence and navigating the fascinating - but also demanding - world of themusic business. I‘mreally glad that this coursewas organised in cooperation with the Serbia Creates national platform, of which I ama creative ambassador, because it is precisely the providing of support to young artists that forms one of the pillars of the mission that we are jointly committed to completing,“ says Milenković. “We are proud that such an exceptional talent as Stefan returned to Serbia and decided to share his knowledge and skills with talented youngsters and future big names of classicalmusic,“ saysAna Ilić, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister for the Creative Industries and Tourism, who heads the Serbia Creates platform. “That‘s precisely why this first camp in the series of joint violin master classes inSerbiawill certainly contribute to the development of the domestic classical music scene and its improvement through the educating of young people, but will primarily contribute to the positive representing of Serbia around the world and its branding as a modern country of talented people,” notes Ilić. Applications for the master class can be submitted until 15th May, after which, on 31st May, Professor Milenković will select the best candidates to attend July‘s two-week programme at the Vojislav Vucković Music School in Čačak.
