Theatre cannot solve the problem, but it can cover important topics, initiate media reactions and highlight social anomalies. Since 2019, first as acting director and then manager of the Belgrade DramaTheatre, film and theatre director Jug Radivojevic (49) began the “great spring clean” of this theatre, which has a tradition dating back 74 years. The audience at this artistic address is now seeking a spare ticket for performances of many titles months in advance, and from August the public has also had the opportunity to enjoy theatrical tales performed on the newly opened Summer Stage. The BDT is also eagerly awaiting the Belgrade International Theatre Festival - Bitef, from13th to 25th September, during which it will present two plays to theatre lovers.
