Odlučujuća trka F1

Finalna trka sezone Formule 1 za Etihad ervejz veliku na-

gradu Abu Dabija voziće se 29. novembra u glavnom gradu

Ujedinjenih Arapskih Emirata. Trka na stazi u Jas marini po-

seban je doživljaj za takmičare i gledaoce, jer će plasman u njoj

odlučiti o ovogodišnjem pobedniku najskupljeg takmičenja na

svetu. Jedinstvena je i što spaja dan i noć, vozi se u sumrak (na

fotografiji) i po tome se razlikuje od svih najvećih sportskih tak-

mičenja na svetu. Počeće po dnevnom svetlu u 17 časova, a mrak

će pasti tačno na polovini od 55 krugova, kada se pale reflektori.

Abu Dhabi

Decisive F1 race

The final race of the Formula 1 season, the Etihad Airways

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, will be held on 29

th

November in

the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This race at the Yas

Marina Circuit will be a special experience for competitors and

spectators alike, as the final places in this race will determine

this year’s winner of the world’s most expensive competition. It

is also unique in that it joins day and night, being held at dusk

(pictured), and thus differs from all other major world races. It

will start in daylight, at 5pm, and darkness will fall at exactly

the halfway point of the 55 laps, when floodlights are engaged.

Božićni vašar

Od sredine novembra Zapadnom Evropom širi se božićna atmosfe-

ra. Na centralnim trgovima gradova postavljaju se božićni vašari,

a posetioci se svake večeri okupljaju na druženju uz tradicionalnu

šolju kuvanog vina. U Beču, glavnom gradu Austrije, svečano otva-

ranje božićnog vašara zakazano je za 14. novembar na Trgu Rathaus,

ispred Gradske kuće. Tog popodneva će se sa hiljadu lampica oba-

sjati i božićna jelka, visoka 28 metara, poklon provincije Tirol (pro-

šlogodišnja na fotografiji). Vašar u Beču je jedan od najstarijih na

svetu, održava se od 1269. godine i privuče tri miliona posetilaca.

Vienna

Christmas Market

From mid-November the Christmas spirit begins spreading across

Western Europe. Christmas fairs and markets are set up on city

centre squares and visitors gather each evening to socialise with

traditional mugs of mulled wine. The opening ceremony of the

Christmas Market in the Austrian capital of Vienna is scheduled to

take place on 14

th

November on the square in front of the town hall

(Rathausplatz). That afternoon will also see a thousand lights illu-

minate the Christmas tree, a 28-metre-tall fir gifted by the province

of Tyrol (last year’s example is pictured here). This fair in Vienna is

one of the oldest Christmas markets in the world, having taken place

since 1269, and it attracts three million visitors.

Izložba „Mark Šagal: trijumf mu-

zike“, u prostoru Pariske filhar-

monije, prikazuje oko 300 slika,

crteža, skulptura, kostima, i dru-

gih radova Marka Šagala, stvara-

nih za opere i pozorišta Moskve,

Njujorka, Meksika i Pariza u pe-

riodu od 1920. do 1964. Njegovo

najupečatljivije delo, oslikan

svod Opere u Parizu (na fotogra-

fiji), oda kompozitorima koji su

obeležili istoriju muzike, prikaza-

no je na izložbi zahvaljujući po-

sebnom uređaju koji je razvijen u

Guglovoj laboratoriji. Izložba je

otvorena do kraja januara 2016.

Chagall exhibition

Philharmonie de Paris is hosting an

exhibition entitled Marc Chagall: the

Triumph of Music, which presents aro-

und 300 paintings, drawings, sculptu-

res, costumes, and other works by Marc

Chagall that were created for operas

and theatres in Moscow, New York,

Mexico and Paris in the period from

1920 to 1964. His most memorable work,

the painted vaulted ceiling of the Opera

in Paris (pictured), represents an ode

to the composers who have marked the

history of music, is on show at the exhi-

bition thanks to a special device develo-

ped at the Google Lab. The exhibition is

open until the end of January 2016.
