Hiljade hektara oranica protežu se na severu
Srbije, u Vojvodini, žitnici zemlje. Beskrajna ravni-
poljima. One su praktično zaštićene i nesputane,
nemaju prirodnog progonitelja, a lovci ih u hlad-
nim snežnim zimskim mesecima prehranjuju.

Thousands of hectares of farmland stretch over
northern Serbia, in Vojvodina, the country’s breadbasket.
The endless plains, dotted with small woods, provide the
almost ideal habitat for roe deer. Deer are completely
adapted to the nearby settlements, ensuring that watch-
ful travellers driving from Belgrade towards Budapest can
always spot groups of them on the surrounding fields.
They are practically protected and can move unfettered,
having no natural predators and being fed by hunters
during cold, snowy winters.
