But life knows how to be fun AnaĐurić is heading to the66thannualmusic contest, to be held in Turin from10th to14th May, with the song In corpore sano, which already has a genuine mini army of fans. Italy will give her another chance to show off her vocal and visual talents, whichwe hope could bring the Eurovision Song Contest back to Belgrade.Nonetheless, it seems that Konstrakta still doesn’t believe she’s managed to reach enough people... “It seems tome that the song is really popular, considering its unusual arrangement andthe topic it addresses. We didn’t expect that we’d reach this many people, not only in Serbia, but also in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. What’s more, Of late we’ve been increasingly seeing that this song is liked by, and easily relatable to, people who aren’t from the lands where our languages are spoken.” Why a song about health? Did the pandemic act as inspiration? “The pandemic isn’t the theme of the song, but I concur that it has shifted care for the body into focus evenmore. Caring for the body, like caring for our health, was being presented to us as a top value long before the pandemic. One gets the impression that our health is dependent exclusively on us and how much we invest in it. We are offered a plethora of trends, supplements, nutritionplans, approaches tomaintaining health, which are often also contradictory and untested. An individual ends up feeling disorientated and compelled to invest in their ownhealth out of their own pocket. And systemic support is often obscure or absent.” In corpore sano forms part of a triptych. What is it actually about? “The triptych is composed of three songs - Nobl, In corpore sano and Mekano – that are linked through one music video. There is a certain similarity between these Of late we’ve been increasingly seeing that this song is liked by, and easily relatable to, people who aren’t from the lands where our languages are spoken songs, not only in terms of their arrangements, but also in terms of articulation, in the way the story is toldwithin the scope of the themes, so it was logical for me to release themas a three-part video. The video was created in cooperation with Maja Uzelac and Ana Rodić, and it quickly reached a million views despite its 12-minute duration, and we know that today’s viewers have a short attention span. That seems like a solid success to me.” Do you like Meghan Markle’s hairstyle? [wink] “It seems nice in the photos.” Why Konstrakta? It’s difficult to remember ... “I gave that name to myself when I was 20. I studied architecture and had just started dealing with music. It seemed to me at the time that that name described me and my way of working well, it just didn’t cross my mind how complicated that would be and how many times that name would be misspelt. It’s already become entertaining now, so I make notes of all the ideas, from Komprosta, via Kantata to Katarakta…” Could you ever have seen yourself performing at the Eurovision Song Contest; do you even like the music generally offered by that contest? “Never inmy life did the possibility of this development of events crossmymind, forme to be Serbia’s representative at Eurovision. But life knows how to be fun! Eurovision is indisputably amajor and serious competition, and every year there are a few songs that grab my attention.” What are the bookmakers saying, and what do you say: if we were to place a bet – could the Eurovision Song Contest return to Belgrade? “I don’t followbookmakers, and I don’t evenknowpreciselyhowthat works. But they say that we have a good standing. When it comes to me and my team, we’re going one step at a time. The first goal is to reach the final, and if we succeed in that, then we can imagine Eurovision in Belgrade.” Do you have a favourite Eurovision song or performer? “I don’t have a favourite. I like, for example, AzúcarMoreno,White and Black Blues, Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son, last year’s Icelanders, Mahmood, Sébastien Tellier – Divine, Bebi Dol - Brazil, Molitva, Čaroban, of our songs… There are many that I love.” You’ll be travelling to this month’s Eurovision Song Contest with Air Serbia. How do you prefer to spend your time aboard our flights? “I most like looking at clouds.” Nismo očekivali da ćemo dopreti do tolikog broja ljudi, ne samo u Srbiji već i u zemljama bivše Jugoslavije We didn’t expect that we’d reach this many people, not only in Serbia, but also in the countries of the former Yugoslavia BRIXWELL INVESTMENT za savršen dom BRIXWELL INVESTMENT sa ponosom predstavlja novi projekat koji će uskoro krasiti najlepši dao Vračara.
