Reka Jerma (72 km) spaja dve države, izvire u Srbiji, prolazi kroz Bugarsku i opet se vraća u Srbiju formirajući impozantan kanjon. Incredibly, the Jerma canyon and surrounding areas are home to a recorded 887 species and subspecies of plants, some of which are relict and extremely ancient species. The flora of this area comprises 24 per cent of all Serbian flora, including 115 that are listed as endangered and protected species, while its fauna doesn’t lag far behind. The Jerma (length of 72 km) connects two countries. It emerges in Serbia and passes through Bulgaria before returning to Serbia, forming an imposing canyon along the way.
