| 13 SSerbia Creates is a new platform that represents the very best that Serbia has to o er, by focusing on the country’s rich culture of creativity and innovation. The SerbiaCreates platformwas developed at the request of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, who recognisednot only theenormous potential of the Creative Industries in Serbia, but also the fact that creativity and innovative thinking are a common denominator in all competitive branches of the Serbian economy – from mining to agriculture, technology and the performing arts. Alongside digitisation and education reform, PrimeMinister Brnabić also placed the creative industries among her main priorities. In order to support themmost e ectively, she founded the Council for Creative Industries, whichcomprises themost respected individuals and organisations engaged in the eld. The Council conceived the Serbia Creates concept, and the team from the PM’s cabinet, with the support of the Council, organises numerous events, activities, workshops, round-tables and promotional initiatives within the framework of this new platform. The Serbia Creates ambassadors’program mehighlights the most successful individuals and initiatives in art, culture, technology and science who are at the top of their respective elds.
