We are very proud of the fact that we carried 2.76 million passengers in 2022, operated flights along asmany as 87 routes to four continents, and performed a total of 31,420 flights. An interesting fact is that, during the 365 days of last year, we flew 3,468,850 hours, equivalent to circumnavigating the globe 754 times. We have entered the new year ambitiously. We immediately began by expanding our regional fleet with another ATR 72-600 type aircraft, bearing the registration code YU-ASA. And we are continuing to renew our fleet, in order to provide even more comfort for you during our flights. We all look forward to travelling, as it brings unforgettable moments and memories that we will remember for our entire lives. There are many reasons to travel, andduringFebruaryweoftentravel on wings of love. There is almost no destination that is not romantic when you travel with a loved one. However, we can all agree that certain cities are synonymous with love. Among them is Paris, known for its charming streets, parks and palaces, whose beauty is composed from a rich history and wondrous architecture. Venice is another excellent choice, andyouare sure to fall in lovewith its squares and canals at first sight. Even thosewho are sceptical of romance will struggle to resist the sunrises and sunsets viewed from its bridges. In mid-March we will launch flights to new destinations that we haven’t served in previous years. Perhaps the most attractive among them is Chicago, our second destination in North America, but fans of travellingwill certainly also look forward to the possibility of direct flights from Belgrade to Ankara, Izmir, Catania, Naples, Florence, Palermo, Hamburg, Cologne, Gothenburg,Marseille, Krakow, Ohrid, Varna and Budapest. If you have already started thinking about your summer holiday, you can book flights to Rhodes, Corfu, Heraklion and Chania on our website today. Follow us, as the new season brings new destinations. I hope that we have sparked your imagination and helped you select your next destination to visit. Enjoy Enjoy your flight andhave a pleasant trip, jiri marek, CEO Air Serbia Dragi putnici, Dear passengers, Februar 2023.

Following twodifficult years for commercial aviation, the Serbian national airline achieved significant progress during last year. Air Serbia carried a total of 2.76million passengers on scheduled and charter flights in 2022, marking a 73% increase compared to the previous year. From July to December, the company achieved record-breaking monthly results in terms of numbers of passengers carried. The Serbian flag carrier operated a total of 31,420 flights from three international airports in Serbia – including its Belgrade hub and airports in Niš and Kraljevo. This represents a 60% increase compared to 2021. The average load factor stood at 72%, which represents an increase of eight percentage points year-on-year. Air Serbia also expanded its network in 2022, adding 15 newdestinations and bolstering its fleet with seven newaircraft. In November, the long-haul fleet welcomed its secondwide-body aircraft in the formof an Airbus A330200 sporting the image of famous Serbian scientist and inventor Mihajlo Pupin. The jet fleet was also enrichedwith the addition of another Airbus A319 and Airbus A320, while four newATR 72-600 type aircraft joined the regional fleet. Air Serbia carried 73%more passengers in 2022 compared to 2021 Profit od 21 miliona evra u 2022. Profits of 21 million euros in 2022 According to preliminary results, Air Serbia posted a positive net and operating result for 2022, for the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, generating profits of 21 million euros, without a single euro coming from government subsidies. This positive preliminary financial result was achieved thanks to efficient operations and business consolidation measures carried out during the pandemic, as well as the major expansion of the airline’s network, increases in the volume of traffic by around 60% yearon-year, a general rise in demand since the spring of 2022 and the lifting of travel restrictions that were previously in force. “I am immensely happy with the good financial result achieved last year, which is already visible, because this is the real indicator of our company’s ability to react quickly and recognise opportunities for recovery and growth. This result comes after two extremely difficult years, not only for our company, but for the entire commercial aviation sector globally. I am particularly pleased that we are entering our milestone 10th year since Air Serbia was established in the best possible way, and that we have ambitious plans for this year, some of which we have already announced,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek, adding that “Air Serbia plans to publish its operating results for 2022, but we can already say that the Serbian national airline last year came within 2% of the record-setting passenger numbers achieved in 2019, which is one of the best results in Europe when it comes to this parameter.” nova aviona tipa ATR 72-600. Over the course of the previous year, Air Serbia flewa total of 87 routes across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, via scheduled, seasonal and charter flights. Compared to 2021, direct flights were launched to 15 newdestinations, including Valencia, Malaga, Malta, Lyon, Bologna, Hanover, Nuremberg and others. As of 9th December, the national airline resumed flights to the People’s Republic of China after a 22-year hiatus. The first destination in this Asian country is Tianjin, China’s fourth largest city and the largest port in the north of the country. This resulted in Air Serbiamanaging to position itself on the market as one of the fewEuropean airlines to offer direct flights to the People’s Republic of China. “In 2023, wewill celebrate the 10th anniversary of operations as Air Serbia. We have great plans ahead. Air Serbiawill introducemore than 20 newdestinations, includingChicago, our second destination in North America. Our airline is continuously renewing and expanding the fleet. We are aware that passenger expectations are high, andwe are ready to continue developing and changing for the better,” said Air SerbiaCEO Jiří Marek. One interesting fact is that, over the 365 days of 2022, the aircraft of the Serbian national airline flewa combined distance equivalent to circumnavigating the globe a total of 754 times, or as far as 30.2million kilometres. Total flight durationwas 3,468,850 hours.

Do you like to fly? Howdo you feel aboardAir Serbia planes? “I’ve been flying since I was born and that’s always been precious to me as some specific moment beyond the confines of gravity. Although air travel has changed a lot, the feeling is always the same when flying above the clouds. Somehow the planes themselves haven’t changed much since I first started flying, and when I pass by the aviation museum that’s located alongside Nikola Tesla Airport I see JAT's Caravelle, which I know I flew aboard all the way to the Concorde that stands alongside Charles de Gaulle airport, which I once had the privilege of flying on. So, I have my own personal history of aviation that follows me from one point to the other when it comes to Paris and Belgrade, and I’m glad that Air Serbia is today continuing that long tradition, because aviation was part of the development of society in our country from a very early stage and provided a way for our country to be connected with the entire world.” Pariz i Beograd jesumoji gradovi jer samnajviše vezan za njih Paris andBelgrade aremy cities because I’mconnected to themthemost Hisworksareengaging andoftenawashwithhistoricalreferences, whilehis vision of art is often controversial. And that also describes the book recently published byMascom: Weird World presents discarded analogue photographs that were created over the course of years and were initially considered “bad”. For Vidor, as an artist, they provided a way of fixing time and creatingmemories, as well as helping him in his work on paintings, drawings or installations... The photographs included in the book Weird World show different people, self-portraits, places from around Vuk V i dor , art i st Welcome to theWeirdWorld Vidor took analogue photographs shot using a camera and unified them in an authentic visual book that he uses to reexamine the reality of the contemporary moment, digitally filtered fake pictures and scenes of the world and the people in it the world, recounting stories etc. How long was the period in which they were created and how did you select them? “All thephotographs inthebook are analogue, whichmeans that they weretakenintheperiodfromthe ‘90s until 2004, when I started shooting photos with small digital cameras. Thebookwasconceivedasacompilationofphotos thatwereclassified, accordingtothephotolabs thatprinted them, as beingof poor quality, incorrectlyframed, outof focus, andwhich were thus rejected or excluded from invoicing. I started compiling them withtheideathat, whenIhadenough of them, I wouldmake some kind of conglomerationthatwouldretrospectivelypresent theworld fromadislocated perspective; a world in which everythingthat’saccidental or imperfect actuallybecomesmore real than somethingthat’sbeenposedandembellished.Thatso-called“weirdworld” is actually the real world.” You live between Belgrade and Paris. In your opinion, what are the similarities and differences between these cities in the context of your photographs, and in the context of then and now. What has changed? “Forme, photographyservesasa waytorecordmomentsforthefuture. Photographs provide the basis for a relationshipwiththepast, because it is throughthemthatwe createa connection with that past and with the personal creation of our own history, either with or without nostalgia. Both cities have naturally changed, although theyhadcompletelydifferent paths. Photographyoftenserves to idealise, especially when it comes tocities, andthatsometimesconflicts withpersonal experiences that aren’t always ideal. If you view the world through the prism of these photographs, it isn’t always clear where they were shot, other than when something is written, but what unifies them is that certain dose of brutality. Despite everything changing rapidly, thatbrutalityalwaysremains. Everywhere.”

Intervju / Intervi ew 24 | Umetnost » Art The digital age has turned us all into photographers. What was people’s attitude towards photography previously like? “The attitude towardsphotography used to be very specific and impliedacertaincommitment.Today,of course, we’re all photographers. Prior totheemergenceof smartphones, who ever had 6, 8 or 10 thousand photos in their pocket, let alone in a single lifetime? This isnormal today, because technology has been combined with a certain dose of narcissism and a desire to idealise intimacy or everyday life and present it in a filtered, fake way. I think real art photographers have been hit hardest by the fact that today everyone can very easily achieve high-quality resultswithout a lot of effort or knowhow, but that’s a point that we can also expand upon in other spheres, and not just photography.” You’ve always derived the most inspiration fromwhat happened in art during the 20th century. Surrealism, DADA, pop art, all the way up to the ‘80s... Does analogue photography logically fit into that? “Photography hasmeddled intimately inthe livesof all of us at every level, artistic, personal or civilisational. When it comes to the history of art, itnaturallychangeda lotof things andbecamepart of that veryhistory, from the start of the 20th century to thisday.Digitalisation, whichsimplifies themedium’saccessibility, probably leads it indifferentdirections, but goodphotography, likeagoodpicture, is something that simplyhas its own parameters, regardless of howmuch technology has shifted.” Technology changes, but the seminal questions remain the same. As an artist, which questions are you currently trying to answer? “Absolutely, but one shouldn’t fall into the trap of technology and thinking of it as progress in and of itself, and that it solves everything when it comes to art, because that canbe very shaky groundand shortlived. What needs to be done is to answer, in a given time and place, the key questions of that time using adequate tools, because it thus remains simultaneously contemporary and enduring. Those questions have remained the same since the very emergence of humankind, and theyare:whoarewe;whyarewehere and where are we going.” Do you still use an analogue camera? What fascinates or occupies your eye today? “No, I'mnot nostalgic in that regard. I use what everyone else uses, which is either digital cameraswhen needed or phone cameras. My eye still functions according to the same principle, and that is to find something that catches my eye, from banalities to peculiar things, so I continue with that mental frame, albeit with new technology.” What are the projects currently occupying your time and are you planning to stage an exhibition in Belgrade or Paris soon? “I’mplanning four exhibitions in Belgrade for the spring, which will openonthe sameday, but at fourdifferent locations, so visitors will be able to go from one space to another to see new cycles of pictures and drawings that I’ve been working on in recent years, as well as new spatial installations.” What do you love about Paris and which three lesser-known places (that you find precious and interesting) in that city would you recommend? “I’ve spentmy whole life in Paris, so it would be difficult for me to single out something that wouldn’t be known, because this is after all a city that’s a centre of world tourism. What connectsme with it personally are the areas where I grew up and where I mostly lived, studied, walked or spent time, namely the Marais, the Latin Quarter, Saint-Germain etc. I most often head out for a walk and enter galleries and museums to see what’s going on. It is this that marks my connection and interest with a city, especially when it comes to Paris, where there is – aswe arewell aware – a lot of that. I would recommend heading through the city in order to feel its energy, which is something that works for any place on the planet, because only when you understand the entirety and diversity of a city can you really experience it as you should.” Which city do you most consider as being your own; and where does your work mostly take you? “Paris and Belgrade are my cities because I’m connected to them themost, but I thinkeveryonewho’s travelled around the world a bit has some personal mental and physical topography and geography through whichtheysetasideneighbourhoods, streets, corners and spaces in every citythat theyexperienceastheirown. Mywork is linked to the spacewhere I work and create. That currently relates more to Belgrade, while for a long time it was Paris, and we’ll see what the future brings...” Dragomi je što Er Srbija danas nastavlja sa dugom tradicijomkoja našu zemlju povezuje sa celim svetom I’m glad that Air Serbia is today continuing that long tradition that connects our country with the entire world

Hestia, the Belgrade gallery and art residence, is currently hosting an exhibition of paintings by French artist Clément Bedel, entitled Radiant as the End of the World, which will remain on show until 26th February. The exhibition comprises paintings created using the oil on canvas technique, in varying formats, with very intense colouring. The series of paintings exhibited serve to question the logical basis of the environmental crisis, which is saturated in melancholy and the negativity of coexistence, and which offers evolution into something playful, anarchic and unpretentiously shrewd. Bedel was born in Strasbourg and arrives in Belgrade from the French city of Mulhouse. He completed his master’s studies at the Nancy National School of Art and Design, Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Art de Nancy, in 2017. Clément actually lived and worked in Belgrade from 2016 to 2020. During his time in Serbia, he also developed a strong attachment to the aesthetics and essence of brutalist architecture. He engages almost exclusively in painting, assembling hybrid elements in an attempt to touch that timeless instant of serenity, fullness and silence. Zbog najboljeg u nama najviše semoramo pravdati. As Vladimir Tabašević writes, “Themodernity that we live in cries out for the PrinceMyshkin of our times. What kind of fatewould today await that naïve, sincere do-gooder?What high circles would he horrifywith his thoughtless cordiality? His ideal goodness is just cruelty for his social and emotional being. It was with an ironic twist that Dostoevsky called hismost beautiful literary character an idiot, while today such ironic distancing is impossible: an ideally goodman in today’s world really is an idiot, a small-minded person to be pitied. He is someonewhowould be despised for daring, in plain sight of all, to exercise virtues that society has neglected, virtues which that same society declaratively supports and lauds. Literal and consistent, PrinceMyshkin is an idiot because he can’t help but be honest, soulful and gentle. It ismostly because of the best in us that we have to justify ourselves. Perhaps these times are idiotic after all” … U Beogradskomdramskom pozorištu premijera je zakazana za 20. februar/ The Belgrade Drama Theatre is scheduled to host the premiere on 20th February U trendingu / trending Radiant as the end of the world EXH I B I T I ON
