na prostoru Srbije a sadrži elemente litijum i bor

važne u IT tehnologijama. Izložba „Biodiverzitet

Srbije“ prikazuje prirodna bogatstva zemlje.

konferencije, skupove i seminare.

Sredstva za izgradnju i opremanje Prirod-

njačkog centra obezbedila je Evropska investi-

ciona banka, a stručnu dimenziju projektu dali

su Prirodnjački muzej iz Beograda i Rudarsko-

geološki fakultet Univerziteta u Beogradu.

Replike skeleta dinosaura potiču iz Holandije,

a postavio ih je holandski paleontolog Art

Valen. Skulpture dinosaura u zabavnom parku

proizvedene su u Nemačkoj.

Prirodnjački centar udaljen je oko sto ki-

lometara od Beograda. Njegovi idejni tvorci,

zvaničnici male opštine u Srbiji, veruju da će

njihovo delo privući brojne posetioce i turiste,

motivisane željom da što više saznaju o dino-

saurima. Imajući u vidu da je film

part of the building is the “World of

Dinosaurs”, a paleontological display

of seven skeletons of different types

of dinosaur from the Mesozoic pe-

riod. The “Time Tunnel” exhibition

takes visitors through the geological

history of the earth, while the “World

of Minerals and Rocks” exhibits rare

minerals, including jadarite, a unique

mineral discovered in 2006 that ex-

ists only on the territory of Serbia

and contains the elements lithium

and boron, which are important in IT

technologies. The exhibition “Biodi-

versity of Serbia” shows the natural

wealth of the country.

In the centre’s building, over an

area of 3,000 square metres, there

are also several workshops, lecture

theatres and laboratories intended

for scientific research, while the

multimedia room with 3D projection

capabilities will host professional and

scientific conferences, meetings and

seminars.

The funds to construct and equip

the Natural History Centre were pro-

vided by the European Investment

Bank, while the project’s professional

dimension was provided by the Natu-

ral History Museum in Belgrade and

the University of Belgrade’s Faculty

of Mining and Geology. The replica

dinosaur skeletons originate from

the Netherlands and were arranged

by Dutch palaeontologist Art Valen.

The dinosaur statues in the park were

produced in Germany.

The Natural History Centre is

located about a hundred kilometres

from Belgrade. Its creators, officials of

small municipalities in Serbia, be-

lieve that their work will attract many

visitors and tourists, motivated by a

desire to learn more about dinosaurs.

Considering that the movie “Jurassic

World” earned a billion dollars in just

13 days at the cinemas, the fastest

film in history to reach this figure,

their expectations seem realistic.
