ondonsko kraljevsko geografsko
društvo (sa Institutom britanskih geo-
grafa, IBG) trenutno je najzanimljivije
mesto za sve koje zanimaju fotografija
i putovanja. Do 5. septembra, na izlo-
žbi za koju je ulaz slobodan, mogu se videti po-
bedničke fotografije sa takmičenja Putopisni
fotograf godine (Travel Photographer of the
Year – TPOTY) za 2014.
Profesionalni fotografi i amateri iz 103
zemlje poslali su desetine hiljada snimaka za
dvanaesto izdanje prestižnog takmičenja. Po-
bedio je britanski fotograf Filip Li Harvi. Teme
najužeg izbora za pobedničku fotografiju
znatno variraju: od uzbudljivih slika polarnog
medveda dok štiti svoj plen, preko starijih ljudi
u Kini do scena iz podmorja.

London’s Royal Geographical Society
(with IBG) is currently the place to be if you’re
into photography and travel. Until 5th Sep-
tember the institution is hosting a free-to-visit
exhibition of award winning entries from the
2014 Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY)
competition.
Professional and amateur photographers
from 103 countries entered tens of thousands
of images into the twelfth edition of the pres-
tigious competition. The overall winner was
British photographer Philip Lee Harvey. The
subject matter of the shortlisted and winning
prints varies markedly, including evocative
pictures of a polar bear protecting its prey,
elderly people in China and underwater
scenes.
